Call to Action! Support 10/1/2015 ICD-10 Compliance Date in Congress

Join me.
I support the Oct. 1, 2015 ICD-10 compliance date because with health care reform, we must have a better diagnostic system than ICD-9. We must be able to extract data that is reliable and specific and lets us know where we are spending our health care dollars and what is effective and  ineffective in the provision of health care.
We need the quality information that ICD-10 gives to us. Value based purchasing and value based payments will be dependent on utilization of ICD-10. Organizations are ready to implement this data set. Considerable investment of money and resources have been accomplished. Other nations are using this data set. Medicare has done some trials and is able to pay on this data set as well as they did on ICD-9.
I urge you to tell Congress to move forward with ICD-10 and oppose any legislative efforts to delay this implementation for the 3rd time.
Thank you.
