October 1, 2014, the go live date for ICD-10, is only 320 days away. Is your company prepared for this change?
At Quality In Real Time (QIRT), we are well into our preparation for this monumental implementation.
As Director of Education, I became an American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) approved ICD-10 CM trainer. In addition, I have attended a home health specific ICD-10 trainer course and will be taking the Board of Medical Specialty Coding ICD-10 Trainer certification test as soon as it becomes available (scheduled for December 2013).
Our internal training has begun and our auditors are excited about ICD-10 and what it means for ICD coding. QIRT is requiring that all of our auditors complete and pass our comprehensive training program and become certified in ICD-10 (HCS-D) prior to October 1, 2014.
QIRT is committed to making this transition as easy as possible for our clients. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
Until next time,
